An effective and FUN way to help your child to overcome fear and nervousness is to whip up a batch of homemade play dough and add your child's favorite worry-reducing oil to it! 

Ever seen an adult with a stress ball? Same idea here: as kids mash, squish, squeeze,and pull the play dough through their hands, these sensations help to diminish anxious feelings and nervous energy. At the same time, the scent of the oil further calms, relaxes,and supports their emotional state.

EVERY LITTLE THING IS GONNA BE ALRIGHT PLAY DOUGH RECIPE

Ylang Ylang, Reassuring Blend, or Comforting Blend

1/2 c. Flour

1/4 c. Salt

1 tbsp. Cream of Tartar

1/2 tbsp. Fractionated Coconut Oil

1/2 c. Water

Food coloring in your child's favorite color

A ball of nerves that somewhat resembles your child

Combine all dry ingredients together in a saucepan. Add the oil, water,and food coloring and mix together well. Cook on medium heat until it takes on a very doughy consistency and can be molded. Place on wax paper or other non-stick surface and allow to cool. Form the dough into a ball and use your finger to poke a hole in the center. Add 5 drops of the Essential Oil of your child's choice and knead the dough until the Essential Oil is blended inevenly. Now it's ready to use!
