Step 6 – Dangers of CBD

broken image

So, with all the benefits reported with CBD use, why does our company not produce it the way some other Essential Oil companies do? The truth is, there are many aspects to CBD that bring the safety of its use into question.

REGULATION

The CBD industry is not well-regulated. You can find CBD in everything from beauty products to food, but much of this CBD is synthetically produced! The FDA does not currently set standards for CBD. Some CBD products even contain levels of THC (which, remember, is illegal in most places due to its psychoactive effects on the brain).

DOSAGE

Studies have been done that report needing anywhere from 600 to 1000 mg in order to see any results at all. This is quite a high dosage! Not only does this call into question matters of safe use at such high doses, but it also makes CBD oil often very pricey because so much of it is needed to see any benefits.

POTENCY

When CBD products are studied and chemically tested, many are found to include no or very low quantities of CBD. Even when you disregard these low quantities, CBD binds indirectly to the CB receptors, so its effects are not as powerful as those found in compounds that do directly interact with CB receptors.

QUESTION – DID ANY OF THE INFORMATION LISTED ABOUT CBD SURPRISE YOU? IF SO, WHAT?
