Step 14 - Helping with High Temperatures

A high temperature is the body’s natural reaction when fighting off germs. But if it gets too high, it can make you miserable as quick as any Sick Season symptom.

If you’re feeling uncomfortable, Essential Oils can help.

For adults, apply PEPPERMINT Essential Oil to the forehead, back of neck, and bottoms of feet. Apply frequently —every 15 – 30 minutes — until the temperature goes down.

When using PEPPERMINT Essential Oil with young children, be sure to dilute before applying to the forehead, back of neck, and bottoms of feet. Also, be sure that the child does not touch the application area and then rub their eyes. For ease of application, put PEPPERMINT Essential Oil and carrier oil in a roller bottle.

PEPPERMINT Essential Oil, used internally, can help promote healthy respiratory function and clear breathing and support digestive health.*

PRACTICAL USES

Use a drop of PEPPERMINT with Lemon Essential Oil in water for a healthy, refreshing mouth rinse.

Take one to two drops in a Veggie Capsule to alleviate occasional stomach upset.

Add a drop to your favorite smoothie recipe for a refreshing twist.

Place one drop in palm of hand with one drop Wild Orange and one drop Frankincense and inhale for a mid-day pick-me-up.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DIFFUSION: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

INTERNAL USE: Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid.

TOPICAL USE: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with a carrier oil to minimize any skin sensitivity. See additional precautions below.

*CAUTIONS*

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
